Artist's Comments

So far I've found this to be the fastest and easiest ways to do flats. This isn't the perfect way to lay flats (there is no perfect way), as any gaps in the lines will fill with the same color. But it does cut down on a LOT of time and work.

To keep the same color from filling two different areas where gaps in the line art is present just go in with the "pencil" tool (with a small tip set to black color) and connect any open lines before starting the BPelt plug-in.

Thanks so much to ~fco for sending me the link to this awesome time-saving program and to ~NormanWong for helping me figure out how to use it.

To download the BPelt plug-in go to BPelt.com [link]

Lines used in this tutorial are from [link] :iconwindriderx23:. Check out his awesome line art! :) *Always ask the line artists first before coloring their lines.*

**Please forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes.**

Oh - And if you like the program I encourage you to donate to the bpelt website as they offer this program 100% free of charge. This program/plug-in has literally saved me hundreds of hours (and will for you too if you color as much as I do lol) - a program like that is priceless, but they offer it for FREE! So show your support and donate at least a little to let them know you really appreciate it!

ok Here is the final result in my case! it works prett y fine and a long way easier!!

The plug ins in my case I had to unzip to desk then from there copy and paste to plug ins in the filter carpet, from there load photoshop, and finally save the original image to bitmap, and finally make magic with the filters!!

THIS TUTORIALL RULESS!! THANK YOU SO MUCH STACY RAVEN!! :D

:worship:

Let Me check if I can upload the example I'm working on :)

something very important to achieve this process, the drawing needs to have no incomplete lines and like you said Bitmap format is mandatory full in black to give maximum quality :)

Yeah, I put in the artists comment area "To keep the same color from filling two different areas where gaps in the line art is present just go in with the "pencil" tool (with a small tip set to black color) and connect any open lines before starting the BPelt plug-in."

That helps a lot. :) Also if you are using a pencil drawing it helps to up the contrast and make your lines as black as possible before starting the plug-in. :D

ok is confirmed, yes to get the best results we need to be sure that we got the drawing clean, no incomplete lines, and in Bitmap format! this method just saves us tons of time!!!

once again Thank you so much Stacy Raven!! :w00t:

Actually it doesn't need to be bitmap format as I show how to change it to that in the tutorial AFTER the original image gets saved to the clipboard. When you make an image a bitmap it makes it kind of "craggly" and you loose the smoothness of the lines. So I definitely suggest saving the original image to the clipboard and then following the tutorial steps to make it a bitmap image. :)

You're welcome. :) I'm glad you have found it useful.

This is really neat, for me, that has no time at all, and therefore do not colour my drawings much, it will really help. Thank you!
