Drawn by the awesomely talented: *qualano :iconqualano: Original Drawing: [link]
Inked by me: ~StacyRaven :iconstacyraven:

I adored inking these lines! I'm finding I'm really liking inking more and more. I found this image at #ComicTeamUp and it called out to me to ink it! lol :D I had so much fun inking *qualano's lines that it made me realize I'm definitely going to have to do more inking! heheh :D

If you guys color this, the flats can be found here: [link]
Please be sure and give proper credit to the Penciler, Inker, and Flatter if you color it. Thank you. :)
Other great flats can be found at :iconcomicteamup: and :iconflats-for-colorists:

Oh, you welcome :D And, i'm practicing only xD Now i need to learn how to "delete" the lineart, and make the drawing look more realistic

It sounds like you want to learn to be a digital painter (as apposed to a colorist). A colorist's job is to enhance the lines, not get rid of them, unless that was the intention of the original artist. I wouldn't recommend deleting the inks on an inked image unless you get permission to do so from the original artist. Inked lines are usually meant to be seen, and most comic book pencilers and inkers wouldn't want their lines deleted. That's one of the differences between line art and inks. Lineart, images like this: [link] are more likely ok for line deletion as the lines are light, with no line weight variation, and usually mainly there as "guides" for the colorwork. Inked images have lines that are, usually, meant to be seen.

Because I'm new to inking and haven't learned how to do it well yet, my inking on this image doesn't have much line weight variation. So it does look a bit more like "line art" (as apposed to an inked image where the lines are meant to be seen). I guess it's a good thing for me that you mentioned learning how to "delete" the lines, because that points out to me that I need to be more conscious of line weight that way people don't mistake my inks for lineart. :)

No problem. :) I'm actually glad you mentioned that. It made me realize that I need to add more line-weight variation to my inks. I went in and did some tweaks on this image and gave it some more line variation. Thank you! :) Good luck with the digital painting! :glomp:
