The title says it all - Too many lines for too few colorists. I've been a part of the art community here on DA for over 3 years and I've seen an increasing number of line art groups opening up, but not a lot of colorists actually coloring the line art. Sure there are some, but there seems to be FAR MORE people drawing the lines then people coloring them. As someone who loves coloring I thought I'd do a quick highlight of some of the great clubs here on DeviantArt that offer line art to all you guys who enjoy coloring. You don't have to be a pro, or even very good at it. But for goodness sake, lets give some of these fantastic lines some Colors!
Here are some of the great line art groups here on DA, and some of the lovely line art they feature. (You all know me, I'm a big fan of pin-up type art and bad-ass chicks so that's what you'll mainly see me feature - but rest assured, many of these groups have a wide variety of different types of art available for coloring so be sure and check them out!
)Lets start with I like the fact that many of their lines are higher quality then what you sometimes find in some of the other groups. This group mainly features Before and Afters or Side by Sides but it also has a "Line Art for Practice" section.
:thumb191652804: This group mainly features already colored work but they have a Black and White Art section for coloring purposes.
:thumb196156709: Same type of deal as the previous club. This group is one of my favorites! They have some really great art in their gallery to be inked and/or colored! Yes, this group is for you aspiring inkers too, as you can find penciled comic art and pin-up art there to practice inking on. And they have sequential pages too! Some of the line art in this gallery is a little low quality, so you might have to do some digging to find the gems. This gallery has mainly anime line art, which is not usually my cup of tea, but there are a few gems there for those who like anime. Lots of anime here, but there are a few others as well.
:thumb162025506: :thumb244311180:Mainly anime. *SIGH*Again... mainly anime here too. But there are some that aren't.
:thumb215400593: This group is a tad un-orginized but has a few real gems.
:thumb164798406:And last but DEFINITELY not least: I adore this group! They have all the flats already done! It saves SO MUCH TIME! Yay!
I ran out of time to feature art from ALL the line art groups that I've discovered. Here are a few more that have some art for coloring:
If you know of any more groups that have line art, inks, or pencil work open for colorists let me know and I'll add them to this post for others to find!

Commission Rules - (Ok, this is the part I have to sound all stiff and uptight lol. But it's to cover my butt as well as yours.):
Prices listed are for commissions that are for Personal Use Only
, if you want to use the commissioned work for commercial purposes (ie comic covers, prints, etc) the charge will be a little extra. Make sure you let me know
when commissioning me if you wish to use my work for any reason other then personal, non-commercial use.
I do not allow prints to be made of my work unless I'm told before doing the commission that there will be prints made. Again, the charge has to be a little extra if you wish to reproduce my work.
I accept PayPal only at this time. Payments must be sent 1/2 half up front and the other half when I'm finished. Or full payment up front (it's up to you which you prefer). I will start on the commission once at least half of the payment has been sent.
Sending me an email or note asking about commissions or getting a price quote does not obligate you to buy a commission from me. I don't bite, so feel free to send any commission inquiries my way.
